Weekend Wrap Up

In case you missed it, here’s Thursday’s 8-bit and today’s.

The last issue of Atomic Robo and the Shadow From Beyond Time is available for pre-order. Meanwhile, Scott and I recorded ourselves talking about our inspirations and the origins of Atomic Robo as a concept. Take a listen if you’re into that sort of thing.

I’d like to thank all the artists who expressed interest in art-ing NP.com’s upcoming Kung Fu Semi-Epic. You jerks are not making it an easy choice, but we’re still accepting applications.

Lastly, Zack reports that progress on the latest Warbot is slow but steady. It’s our longest and most complex installment to date, so that ain’t helping. That and all the therapy he has to go through every time he finishes a page and realizes that, yes, he is a horrible monster for enabling things like this. He’s a trooper.

Help Wanted

So, a buddy of mine and I might start up another webcomic series here at nuklearpower.com.

Here’s what we have:

1. Many ideas.
2. An audience.

Here’s what we need:

1. An artist.
2. With an excellent grasp of anatomy and a love of kung fu.

If you are an artist who loves kung fu and is pretty damned good with anatomy, perhaps for the purposes of drawing kung fu action, then you should contact me with a link to your online gallery.

What you’ve all been waiting for…

It’s been a while, but it’s that time again.

    Two fortune cookies.
    One fortune.

The uneaten fortune rested face down in a pile of fortune cookie shards. See for yourself.

Exhibit A

Turning over the fortune revealed this pearl of wisdom, and please note that I only wish I was funny enough to make this part up, “A pleasant surprise awaits you soon.”

I have to assume this was an intentional message vis a vis the litter box.

Belated Birthday

My parents are visiting this weekend so I’m spending the day cleaning up the house instead of working. Before anyone starts to pout, they were going to come up last weekend but I asked them not to so I wouldn’t have to skip an update. If this trend were to continue, they’d never get to come down. So, yeah, taking a day off.

To tide you over, here’s a spoiler for the next page: someone is hurt.

So this is what being cool is like?

So, here we are. A new Wednesday, and a new Warbot.

For those who don’t know, I’m Zack Finfrock and I draw Warbot in Accounting. Here’s a few bullet points about myself.

  • I’ve been drawing all my life.
  • I moved to LA last fall to start acting.
  • I dropped out of art school because I was paying to learn nothing.
  • I’m on Twitter.
  • I love videogames and comic books. Mostly just Atomic Robo though.
  • I think Brian is a dumb jerk.

So there you have it. Now on to business!

You should hire me to draw something for you. I need the money for rent and you need a drawing of something cool.

Also, Brian said you should hire me.

He did.
